Boomtown Festival holds several 'districts' which are areas within the festival that hold certain themes, story-lines and immersive experiences. This project was shown in the district called Metropolis. This district is a place where advanced technology, corporate control and urban life intersect, invoking imagery of mega-cities you might see in sci-fi movies and literature.
The fun and colourful gifs are on a loop, dancing to the techno music of a nearby stage. Their bright persona is reminiscent of dopamine, creating a trance-like effect.
